Colombia Planadas Coffee Subscription

Region: San Juan De La China, Ibague, Tolima
Process: Washed
Certification: Organic
Tasting Notes: Sweet cocoa, stone fruit, raisins. Good body and bright acidity
Roast level: Medium

Many factors come together to produce an excellent cup of coffee. As with wine, factors such as soil, elevation, precipitation, climate, and processing methods all work together to define the character of the coffee. These beans are roasted to a medium level to bring out the unique characteristics of this coffee. You will discover tasting notes of sweet cocoa, stone fruit, and raisins, with good body and bright acidity.

From multiple independent small farms in San Juan De La China, this coffee is a product of Oro Molido’s social endeavour to support small farmers who would not usually be able to export coffee on their own.

Oro Molido is an organization that produces and exports coffee, with an enormous interest in helping communities that surround their farms in Antioquia, through the Oro Molido Foundation. The Oro Molido Foundation, created in 2015 in Medellin, Colombia is a non-profit organization. Its purpose is to bring together resources, both private and public, to assist citizens in coffee-growing rural communities. The foundation assists with providing higher quality education, conservation of traditional farming practices, and preservation of historical sites.
